I definitely should read Vonnegut, especially “Slaughterhouse 5,” if no other reason than possibly curing me of confusing it with “The Jungle.” A long-time friend is a Vonnegut fan, and Vonnegut was the guest speaker at the friend’s college graduation in 1996.

A few decades, some of my high school friends with a different teacher read that one.
